Braindrill by Josh Select

Northern California’s Brain Drill has been gaining momentum since the release of their demo in 2005. Currently metal fans that were once into bands like Avenged Sevenfold or Atreyu have been crossing over, looking for heavier, faster and a more aggressive metal sound and Brain Drill (in no way a comparison to those bands) delivers with their mix of a fast-technical death/grind combo assault. With the release of their debut album Apocalypse Feasting (out on Metalblade Records) Brain Drill proves to be a Metal powerhouse.
I got the chance to interview Dylan of Brain Drill and discuss the birth of the band and of course, zombies.

SayNow Interview
(0) comments
Jonathan Tobias- So tell everyone what Say Now is all about?
Nikhyl Singhal- The best way to describe Say Now is that we enable artists
to build phone communities so that they can reach their best fans right on
their phone. How it works is that we issue a phone number to musicians,
athletes, politicians, comedians, (basically anyone that has a community
gets one of these phone numbers), they present it to their audience by
saying “Hey this is the best way to get in touch with me”. Now obviously
they give out our numbers and not their private numbers because it allows
people when they call in to hear content that they recorded, they steer
directly from the artist a message left for everyone that calls in. Fans
have the ability to send messages back, take polls, and be involved in
surveys. What is nice is that artists now hear messages from their fans
and on occasion have the ability to send responses personally back to fans
and call fans back using our service, they have the ability to send voice
and text messages to everyone in their community. Ultimately it builds
this natural, very authentic connection between an artist and their fan
base which we believe has ultimately been lost with a lot of the services
like e-mail, and Myspace pages. You don’t think you are talking to the
artist with those services because you may be talking to their label or
someone else. With Say Now you hear the persons voice and you get that
natural connection.
