Don't forget that, starting tomorrow, the new Top Unsigned list comes out.
We will do the schedule like last time. We will start with releasing 10 bands on Monday, 10 on Tuesday and 10 on Wednesday. We will release the Top Ten bands on Thursday and Friday.
Don't forget that we will have a brand new #1 band because Paper Route has been placed on LABEL ALERT.
We will also re-cap the LABEL ALERT bands and offer a few new lists.

Gunz Interviews Tonight....

Tonight (Sunday) on The Gunz Show, Gunz will have interviews by We The Kings and Jet Lag Gemini.
He will also have pre-recorded interviews from the sold-out Glamour Kills/TDC show on May 2nd. Bands that he will have are TDC bands The Maine and Parade The Day.
Other band interviews from the show include The Cab, The Audition, Hit The Lights, Four Year Strong, Just Surrender and many more!

Today is the last day to stream the new Greeley Estates album Go West Young Man, Let The Evil Go East.

A Good Studio Tour....

TDC-supported The Goodnight Anthem posted a video blog of a tour of Rob Freeman's (HIPV, Parade The Day, Cobra Starship) studio called The Pilot Studio. You will also see an appearance by Jake of the recent Victory band The Scenic. Click on comments to watch the video blog.
The Goodnight Anthem is recording a 5-song EP with a possble June release date.
TGA have a tour with Top Unsigned band My Favorite Highway and The Hint in June. They will also be on the road with TDC alumni band The Years Gone By in July.

Raining Videos....

Top Unsigned band Raining & OK have posted a live "unplugged" performance of a new song entitled, "Life Don't Come On A Silver Spoon."
The band has already begun writing new material for their follow up to 2007's, The Devil on Your Shoulder, with 30 new songs already written. Keep checking their MySpace in the next few weeks for some of those new tracks.
The band will also be hitting the road with Top Unsigned act Emerald Honor this summer.

Britney On TDC....

This is the closest we'll ever get to mentioning the above person on TDC by announcing The Leave Britney Alone Tour, which features TDC-supported Mercy Mercedes.
MM will be on tour with Settings and The Sophomore Attempt.
The tour will start on May 16th and run through June 8th. The tour will cover the Midwest, South and East. Click on comments to see the full tour schedule.

Breakfast of Champions....

Top Unsigned band Vonnegutt (GA) will be playing the Universal Motown Showcase on June 13 at Rehab (Beta).
The band has been working with Simon Illa, a producer signed to Timbaland, on a slew of new songs.
Kyle (from Vonnegutt) recently dropped a guest verse on Dungeon Family affiliate singer George Tisdales' single "Hero."
The band has also began working with Cee-Lo affiliated manager Danny Zook on some new projects as well.
Vonnegutt entered our Top Unsigned list in October 2007.

TDC is very proud to annouce that staff member Matt Pagirsky has finished four years of college! He attended the University of Albany with a double major in Journalism and Psychology.
He not only finished his double major in four years but he interned at Island Def Jam twice and Equal Vision Records once.
On top of that, he has been one of the busiest staff members at The Daily Chorus.
Congratulations to Matt!!!

More Label Alerts....

TDC is putting one more Top Unsigned band on LABEL ALERT and two non- Top Unsigned bands. They are:
1. The Undeserving (#5) - First appeared on the list in January 2008. They are currently recording their new album.
2. Mercy Mercedes (NC) - This band will carry the "TDC-supported" tag and I really wish we would've found them last year.
3. Breathe Carolina (CO) - This band has a ton of tours coming up. They will share a label with a TDC alumni band.
4. Anarbor (AZ) - We already put them on LABEL ALERT in April but let's do it officially on this list. They will also carry the "TDC-supported" tag.
Remember, the new Top Unsigned list comes out next week!

Party Teaser....

TDC buzz band Innerpartysystem has posted a new album teaser on their MySpace.
They also recently launched a YouTube channel featuring a bunch of their creepily acclaimed videos.
The band will be hitting the road starting May 12th for a month long stint up and down the east coast. You can check out the tour dates in the comments.

Interesting Trend....

TDC site visitors know about alumni band Forever The Sickest Kids debuting high on the Billboard Top 200 at #45 this week.
After taking a look at this week's Billboard HeatSeeker chart, The Cab is #1, Metro Station is #5 and We The Kings is #8. The HeatSeeker chart is designated for the top selling (hot) bands that never had an album in the Top 100.
With All Time Low about to breakout nationally, FTSK debuting at #45 and the above bands in the Top 10 on the current HeatSeeker chart, does this show that the poppy/scene movement is about to break commercially?
Are we on the verge of a bigger mainstream breakout?

I've been getting emails about The Summer Set's MySpace being down and asking me if I knew what happened.
I emailed their future label and they said MySpace accidentially deleted their account. It wasn't because of any wrongdoing.
MySpace is getting it restored but it might take a few days.
This is probably the scariest situation facing a band today.

More Acquisitions To Come....

On Monday, TDC broke the national story of Buzznet's acquisition of AP.net. Since then, online media has been so focused on that single story, that it seems they are missing the bigger picture. Everyone should be talking about the possible revolutionary change Buzznet could be doing to online media.
According to DecoyMusic's owner, Buzznet has contacted him and his website.
Remember what one of my sources said? "Many more to come....."
On a side note, Alternative Press titled their Buzznet/AP story, Universal Music Group "Swallows" AP.net. Hmmm....
